Researcher Position to Investigate on Language Models for Disinformation

The candidate will participate in the DISARGUE project (funded by Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation). The aim would be to investigate on few-shot techniques for misinformation processing, including: detection in social media, large language models to generate counter-argumentation and automated claim verification (Natural Language Inference). The project has a strong multilingual and interdisciplinary character, and there is the possibility of working with different types (multimodalities) data: videos, audio and text.

Therefore, the goal of this open position is to help in the development and research on multilingual large language models for language understanding and generation within the misinformation universe.

The candidate should preferably have a BSc degree in computer science, telecommunications engineering, mathematics or physics, and a MSc in language technologies and/or machine learning. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about natural language processing and have a strong background in computer science and related fields. Having a PhD in any of these would be highly valued. The applicants must demonstrate excellent communication skills in English.

Our ideal candidate has experience in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical analysis, as well as a strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python.

1 year initially, with the possibility of extending it 1 more year.

Gross salary: 

A net salary between 1750 (no-doctor) and 2000 (doctor) euros per month (14 payments per year) depending on the candidate profile.
