DETEAMI: Automatic detection of adverse drug effects in medical reports using natural language processing technologies.
(2015 - 2018)
In this project we took on the application of Natural Language Processing (NLP) tools to the processing
of medical texts. DETEAMI in particular dealt with the digital clinical history with the main objective of detecting adverse drug effects. The medical information that is collected in a hospital is basically language and, therefore, NLP techniques entails an important innovation in medical research field. We have automatically analyzed and structured the contents of the medical texts and, as a consequence this processing facilitates and improves its interpretation and management.
